Stock & Crypto Ticker FAQ

Everything you need to know about Turionics — product, setup, shipping, payment, and orders.

About Turionics

Your phone constantly distracts you with notifications, drains battery, and forces you to unlock, swipe, and open apps repeatedly just to check prices. Turionics gives you pure, instant market awareness without any friction — always visible, always live, and zero distractions. It is designed to keep you connected to the market at a glance, so you can focus on trading instead of managing screens.

Turionics is built with four core principles: zero monthly fees, EU-made quality, with every unit hand-assembled and tested, a risk-free purchase backed by a 1-Year warranty and 30-day return policy, and prices in each stock’s own listing currency. More than 790 tickers have been sold so far, rated 4.9 out of 5 across all reviews.

Turionics is a standalone WiFi-enabled smart desk ticker that displays live prices in real time — crypto, stocks, ETFs, forex pairs and commodities (gold, silver, oil, gas and more), side by side in one carousel. It requires no monthly subscription, no phone connection, and no computer to operate — just power and WiFi.

No. Turionics is a one-time purchase with zero monthly fees. Once you own the ticker, you can use it without any subscriptions or hidden charges.

Assets & Prices

Yes. Alongside crypto, Turionics shows stocks from the world's major exchanges, ETFs, market indices, futures, U.S. Treasury yields, currency pairs and commodities (NVIDIA, Apple, the S&P 500, S&P 500 futures, the 10-year Treasury yield, EUR/USD, gold, oil — any ticker on Yahoo Finance) in the same carousel as your cryptocurrencies. Everything mixes freely in any order you like, added from the same control panel — no separate app or account, and no extra cost. Non-crypto assets refresh about every 30 seconds; crypto keeps its live feed from Coinbase or Binance, updating every second.

You can track 1000+ cryptocurrencies, including popular coins like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL) and many more. Any coin listed on Coinbase or Binance works: pick it from the Crypto tab or choose Other… and type its symbol. If the exchange you picked doesn't list a coin, the ticker pulls that coin from the other exchange automatically. New listings need no firmware update.

Any ticker listed on Yahoo Finance. Regular US stocks (AAPL, TSLA), share classes (BRK-A), international listings with their exchange suffix (SAP.DE on Xetra, 7203.T on Tokyo), ETFs (SPY, VOO, QQQ, GLD), indices (^GSPC for the S&P 500, ^DJI, ^IXIC, ^VIX), forex pairs (EURUSD=X, GBPUSD=X, USDJPY=X), and and commodities through their futures symbols — gold GC=F, silver SI=F, oil CL=F, natural gas NG=F, copper HG=F, wheat ZW=F — all work. In the control panel, pick one from the Stocks, Forex or Commodities tab, or choose Other… and type the Yahoo symbol; your list labels each one Stock, Forex or Commodity so it's never confused with a same-named coin. Gold is GC=F (Gold in the Commodities tab) — GOLD in the Stocks tab is the share of the company Gold.com, not the metal. New listings need no firmware update, and the ticker symbol cheat sheet lists the popular codes. Each shows in the currency of its own listing (USD for AAPL, EUR for a German listing, and so on) — never forced into USD like some competing ticker boxes, and never converted to your chosen crypto currency.

Yes. The S&P 500, Nasdaq, Dow Jones, Russell 2000 and the VIX, plus the big indices from around the world: Germany's DAX, the UK's FTSE 100, France's CAC 40, the Euro Stoxx 50, Japan's Nikkei 225 and Hong Kong's Hang Seng. Indices are shown in points, just like on the financial news.

Yes. S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, Dow and Russell 2000 futures (a favorite for watching the market before the opening bell), crude oil (WTI and Brent), gold, silver, platinum, copper, natural gas, wheat, corn, soybeans, coffee, Treasury futures and CME Bitcoin futures.

Yes. The 10-year and 30-year U.S. Treasury yields (the numbers everyone watches when rates move), plus the 5-year and 13-week rates, shown as a percentage, for example TNX 5,24%. Bond ETFs like TLT and BND work too.

Search for it on finance.yahoo.com and use the symbol shown there, or look it up in our ticker symbol cheat sheet. Coins are just their ticker, like BTC. When you add a symbol, the display checks it and shows its full name, so you always know you picked the right one.

Turionics reads crypto prices straight from the exchange (Coinbase by default, or Binance) and updates every second. The device receives fresh data all the time, but very small price changes (like a few tenths of a cent) may not be visually noticeable on the display, so it can sometimes look like the price is changing less frequently. Everything else works differently: Turionics polls Yahoo Finance about once every 30 seconds per stock, forex pair or metal ticker, and automatically pauses while that market is closed (see below).

Turionics knows each market's real trading hours, holidays included, straight from the same Yahoo Finance data. While a market is closed, it stops polling that ticker and the screen simply keeps showing the last price — no “market closed” label, no NO DATA. Round-the-clock instruments like BTC-USD, and most forex pairs, never sleep. Once the market reopens, polling resumes on its own.

In the control panel, under What's on Screen → Crypto Price Source, you choose Coinbase (the default, works in all 50 US states), Binance, or Binance.US. Coins the chosen exchange doesn't list are pulled from the other exchange automatically, and if Binance.com is blocked in your country the ticker switches to Binance.US on its own. The ticker requests prices directly from the exchange. Nothing goes through Turionics servers. This only applies to cryptocurrencies — stocks, forex and metals always come from Yahoo Finance, with no source to pick.

When you switch on the 24h Trend Arrow, a small arrow shows whether the asset on screen — crypto, stock, forex or metal — is trending up or down (last 24 hours for crypto, since the previous market close for everything else). Put it on the left or right edge of the display, and keep it static or turn on the animation. It is off by default.

The text never scrolls. If it doesn't fit, the ticker shortens it on its own so the price is always shown in full: first the exchange suffix, then the cents, then the currency sign, then the name. To give the price more room, turn off Show Name or Show Currency Sign; the live preview in the panel shows the result before you save.

Setup & Settings

To connect Turionics to WiFi, please follow the step-by-step instructions on our setup guide page. You only need a device with a browser and internet access for the initial configuration.

Not at all. The web interface is designed for anyone to set up in under 5 minutes. We also provide step-by-step video tutorials and email support if you get stuck. If you have any issues during setup, just email us at [email protected] and we will guide you through the process.

No app is required. You control your Turionics ticker through a simple web interface that works on any device with a browser (phone, tablet, laptop, desktop). Connect via WiFi and manage all settings from there.

Yes. In the settings panel you can choose between single-asset mode or a slider that cycles through any mix of crypto, stocks, ETFs, forex pairs and commodities in any order, adjust screen brightness, select how the token name is displayed (full name, symbol, or minimal view), enable a minimalist mode that shows only values, switch between USD and EUR as the quote currency for crypto, and show or hide the currency symbol. A live preview in the panel draws the screen in green dots with the current price before you save. You can also choose the crypto price source (Coinbase, Binance or Binance.US), turn on a 24-hour trend arrow, and set a night mode that dims or turns off the display on a schedule.

Yes. In the panel, turn on Night Mode, choose Dim or Turn Off, set a start and end time, pick your city, and save. During that window the display dims to the brightness you chose, or turns off. Daylight saving time switches automatically, so there is nothing to adjust twice a year.

A short drop is invisible: the ticker keeps the last price on screen while it quietly reconnects. If WiFi stays down for about 2 minutes, the display switches to NO DATA; after about 10 minutes without WiFi, it falls back to showing its 8-digit setup code so you can reconnect it. A brand-new device, or one that never had a saved WiFi network, shows the setup code right away instead. When the network returns, everything reconnects and resumes on its own — you do not need to set anything up again.

NO DATA means that specific coin or stock has not gotten a price in a while: about 20 seconds if it has never priced since the device started (while the rest of your carousel updates fine), or about 2 minutes if prices were flowing normally and then stopped everywhere (an internet outage). Stocks paused because their market is closed don't count as NO DATA — they simply hold the last closing price. The usual cause of a stuck coin or stock is a mistyped symbol, or one not listed on the selected exchange (crypto) or on Yahoo Finance (stocks).

Turionics checks for a new firmware version about once an hour but never installs anything without asking. When one is available, an “Update Firmware” button appears in the control panel; the update only downloads and installs after you click it, then the device restarts on its own. Your settings are kept. The ticker checks the downloaded file before installing it, and if a new version fails to start it automatically rolls back to the previous one. No computer or app is needed.

Turionics works on 2.4 GHz WiFi networks only. This band is available on virtually all home and office routers, so you should not need any special hardware. Any device with a browser and internet connection is enough to set up and manage the ticker.

No, and you don't need one. To forget your home WiFi, use Clear Saved WiFi in the control panel. To restart the ticker, unplug it and plug it back in (or use Restart Device in the panel).

Yes, each ticker operates independently on your WiFi network. You can set up multiple devices to track different assets or markets simultaneously, making Turionics perfect for professional multi-monitor trading setups.

Hardware

Each Turionics package includes the Turionics LED ticker device, a 1.5-meter USB-C to USB-C power cable, a matching desk stand for stable placement, and quick start instructions.

Each Turionics device is a single-color LED ticker. You can choose between a green, red, or blue display variant when ordering. The entire screen will use the selected color.

Turionics consumes less than 5W of power, comparable to a phone charger. Running your ticker 24/7 costs only pennies per month in electricity, making it an energy-efficient addition to your desk.
